NEW DELHI: Leading Internet and technology conglomerate LeEco has once again proved its product quality and innovation at the international stage.
LeTV, the television brand of LeEco, has won the Internet TV Solutions Gold Award at the 2016 IFA Product Technical Innovation Awards in Berlin, Germany on September 2, 2016.
Co-organized by leading global consulting and investment firm International Data Group (IDG) and German Industry & Commerce Ltd., the award was given in Berlin during IFA, one of the most influential consumer electronics conventions in the world.
Competing with major brands, LeTV stood out with its state-of-the-art design and ‘ecosystem’ innovation. It is a testimonial of the product quality of LeTV as the award weighs heavily on product quality (60 percent). Judge opinion weighs 30 percent and online votes represent 10 percent.
In addition to its high-end hardware specs and industrial design, LeTV is backed by an ecosystem of interconnected Internet services and products, including content streaming, gaming, online shopping, and seamless cross-device control. The ecosystem provides users a brand new experience that no regular TV maker can deliver.
This is not the first time for LeTV to be given an IFA award. In April this year, LeTV won the Best Industrial Design Award in CE China, an IFA Global event in China.
As a disruptor of the global TV industry, LeTV is soaring with an annual sales growth of more than 100 percent. It is also speeding up its global expansion, entering the Indian TV market in August with its advanced Super 3 series TV.
LeEco also adopted its unique ‘flash sale’ model in India for its SuperTVs, which allows users to purchase online within a limited amount of time. The company achieved an industry record by garnering a sales order of 4,600, i.e. 20 times higher than the industry-per-day average sales in the 55″ and above segment. This latest record has sealed LeEco’s position at the No. 1 slot in the 4K and big screen TV segment.
